Accessibility

What the parts guarantee, and what stays yours.

Native first

Where the platform has the element, the part is the element: dialog for Modal and Drawer, details for Accordion, real radio inputs for Segmented and Radio. Focus traps, Escape handling and screen-reader semantics come from the browser, not from scripts re-implementing them.

Interactive parts document their keyboard behavior on their own page, under Accessibility.

Focus, motion, contrast

Focus rings are a token (--k-ring), visible in both themes, and never removed without a replacement. The Motion line and the Drawer honor prefers-reduced-motion. Text colors come from the zinc scale at weights chosen to stay readable on their backgrounds.

Parts are a starting point, not a certification: labels, heading order and the meaning of the page remain the page’s responsibility. Test with a keyboard and a screen reader before shipping.
